ABOUT
My interest in art started with my first box of crayons. Then, when I was seven years old, my mother started painting classes and I went with her. By the age of sixteen I decided that I needed to learn how to really draw properly. So, with pencil and sketchbook in hand, I began. Eventually I took classes at the Musée des Beaux Arts in Montreal, and many years later a degree in Fine Art in England.
My work is personal, intimate, a record of my response to the wonders of this world in which I live.
Working mostly in oil paints, pastels and oil pastels, I take inspiration from the places I have lived, and the seasons of the year as they offer an array of forms, colors, and textures.
